Singer Rihanna stands in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who have knelt during the national anthem before games to protest social and racial injustices, and she made that clear by staying far away from this year’s Super Bowl LIII.
The eight-time Grammy winner refused to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show as symbol of solidarity with NFL player Colin Kaepernick who was cast aside by teams and owners after kneeling during the national anthem, to protest what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.
Rihanna has so much beef with the NFL, that she literally refused to watch Super Bowl LIII and let her fans know.
Not only did she pass on viewing the game but she also posted a picture of Colin Kaepernick kneeling with the caption ‘for those of you who thought I was watching Super Bowl…We Beefin’.
