Samuel L. Jackson was winter weather ready when he arrived in New York.
It’s always good to see Sam. It seems like just yesterday he was at the 2019 Oscars celebrating Spike Lee‘s first Academy Award win for BlacKkKlansman. Though Jackson didn’t go home with a win of his own, he’s still excited to continue his work on the big screen.
Something many people are looking forward to is the return of The Hitman’s Bodyguard‘s “Darius Kincaid.” The film’s plot is just as simple as the title. Samuel plays a notorious hitman who’s assigned a bodyguard played by Ryan Reynolds. “Darius” is vital in testifying against a European dictator, Gary Oldman, so his wellbeing is the country’s priority.
And with every bad ass criminal follows a bad ass wife, Sonia Kincaid. *Enter Selma Hayek.*
Of course they find themselves in a whole bunch of mischief since the two couldn’t be more different.
Since a successful box office run of more than $180 million globally, the decision to create a sequel was obvious. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard brings back everyone’s favorite mismatched duo along with “Sonia” stirring up some chaos. Captain America‘s Frank Grillo is slated to join the party too, playing an Interpol agent looking to protect Europe from a cyber attack.
Production is due to begin in early March.
