The Woolsey Fires were the most destructive fires in Malibu‘s history and the effects are still very prominent in many celebrity homes (or lack there of).
The photos below show Robin Thicke and his fiance April Love Geary‘s bulldozed lot. It appears the couple have cleaned up the debris from the massive fire but have not started construction yet. The delay is understandable since April was pregnant, and just gave birth to their second daughter Lola Allen Thicke.
Kim Basinger‘s home suffered a double whammy, not only being destroyed by the Woolsey Fires but also sub-torrential rains have hit the area, creating massive mudslides through her property.
Basinger property is now covered in 2 feet of mud and still stands in ruins. The actress owns a home in Tarzana and doesn’t appear to be in a hurry to fix her Malibu home. If you’ll remember, her daughter Ireland Baldwin was harassed and accused of being a looter by an officer when she tried to collect some of their items from their burnt home. The model was so distressed she took to social media to express her anger.
Camille Grammer‘s former home has not been fixed since partially burned down in the Woolsey Fires.
Grammer recently opened up to People magazine about her loss – ‘There are times I lamented about it,’ Grammer said in the interview, ‘I miss my home, and having my bed to go back to. It was my safe haven and there was so much emotional value and memories connected to it.’
She now lives in a mobile home with her new husband and her daughter, Mason, 17, whom she shares with Kelsey Grammer.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth lost a lot of important memorabilia and material items, but the fire gave the famous couple the final push to get married.
Cyrus opened up to Vanity Fair about the catastrophic experience and told them that she felt like ‘I’m never going to get over it, this is never going to end’, but changed her mind when she felt a weight been lifted off her shoulders.
Since then, Cyrus married Hemsworth in a private Nashville ceremony. The two shared their low-key wedding over the holidays. Lucky for them, the couple already owned the next door property, so they didn’t have to move too far away.
