Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at it again!
The unconventional royal couple have joined social media with their own Instagram account breaking away from the tradition of using the official gram for Kensington Palace.
The brand new account @sussexroyal has only one post with a few hand-selected images of the modern couple performing royal duties.
The page has only been live for 6-hours and already amassed 1.3 Million followers.
The surprising measure is not a first for Meghan and Harry who have set out to become a modern royal family.
The move comes weeks from Meghan giving birth to their first baby after announcing she will not be giving birth at Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, which has been the tradition for the British Royals since 1977.
Princess Diana gave birth to both Prince Williams and Prince Harry there and Kate Middleton gave birth to her kids at the same hospital.
The Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex are moving from Kensington Palace to a more private homestay and will be living at Frogmore Cottage when the baby arrives.
It may be the reason why they have started their own official Instagram account.
Traditionally, the newborn baby is presented to the public by the Royals right after giving birth, but seeing that Harry and Meghan are foregoing that tradition; it’s possible that instead of showing the baby to their subjects on the footsteps of the hospital; they will post the heir on social media.
