Felicity Huffman has plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud as well as honest services mail fraud as husband William H. Macy goes unscathed.
The Desperate Housewives actress has admitted to her part in the college admissions scandal and additionally put out a public statement declaring her guilt and her daughter’s innocence in the ordeal.
‘I am pleading guilty to the charge brought against me by the United States Attorney’s Office.I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.I am ashamed of the pain I caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestlyMy daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty.’
In the statement put out by TMZ, Huffman apologizes to her daughter Sofia Grace Macy for her actions, ‘My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions’, she says, ‘and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her.’
Huffman doesn’t say anything about her husband during her mea culpa who was omitted from the legal proceeding due to lack of evidence, but is said to have had a part in the phone calls made to William Rick Singer.
He was notably missing at her court appearance in Boston on March 3rd but was later seen with the troubled actress taking a jog around their neighborhood (Link Above).

He was later seen at a parking garage and asked about Huffman’s admission to guilt which he politely answered, ‘thanks for asking, I can’t talk about that’. He was then asked about her serving jail time, which he answered, ‘I can’t talk about that’.
Meanwhile, Lori Loughlin was pictured getting a warm embrace from daughter Isabella Rose Giannulli amidst the scandal.
The Full House actress and her husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly paid $500,000 to get Isabella and sister Olivia Jade into the USC row team so they could attend college under false pretenses – neither of the girls play the sport.
Loughlin has not admitted any guilt in the scandal and has kept an upbeat demeanor through the proceedings.
As far as Felicity Huffman goes, she is ready to face the consequences of her decision. The same is not so evident for Lori Loughlin as she continues to pretend like nothing is wrong.
