Oprah Winfrey had a revealing interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show where she talked about her Leaving Neverland special, owning an avocado orchard, and not sending her underwear to laundry service.
The media mogul was wearing an embroidered coat with an ombre sheath dress and black boots for her appearance.
She stopped and signed autographs for her fans before heading in to do her very revealing interview.
The former TV host says she misses connecting with her audience and wishes she would have been around in 2016 during the Presidential Election to talk to them.
‘The only time I really, really missed it [Oprah Winfrey Show] was 2016′ – she revealed.
She said the reason was because she wouldn’t have been as surprised by the election results if she was connected to her audience, who she used as a focus group.
The juicier tidbits came in the after show special called Between The Scenes; Trevor says to Oprah – ‘you are Oprah Winfrey, you have been very wealthy for a long time, you worked hard to get there. I often wonder how much normalcy there is still in your life’,
He then asks, ‘has there ever been a moment when you’re in the bathroom and then the toilet roll is done?’, which she candidly answered, ‘No! You know why? because at my house, the toilet roll is checked regularly. And when it’s been checked after you go into the bathroom, somebody will come in and it’s folded into the little triangle.’
Trevor, ‘Like you live in a hotel?’, Oprah high fives him and says, ‘Yes!!’
Noah replies, ‘are you serious?’, then she says, ‘So I have an avocado orchard’, which he immediately responds, ‘oh, the story got not normal again!’.
In one last-ditch effort to sound like she’s ‘normal’ like the rest of us, she goes on to say that she doesn’t send her underwear to laundry service because it costs too much – ‘I do not, the one thing I will not do, is send my underwear out to be washed or clean,’ she says, ‘you know why? Because it’s five dollars for a pair of panties’.
By the way, Oprah is worth $2.5 Billion dollars! Goes to show you, just because you got it, doesn’t mean you have to spend it. Just one more life lesson from Oprah.
