Ron Howard sure knows the smart way to get around in New York City during peak rush hour traffic. The 65-year-old director and actor was seen casually waiting for the subway train around Manhattan’s Soho area.
No need for an Uber or Taxi as Ron blended right in with other NYC residents on the train, using his headphones and continuously checking his phone.
The very established filmmaker appeared to be busy, and was even seen walking around with a huge book-bag. We can only wonder what’s in his bag and even more so what’s on his mind? With so much going on lately regarding his career as a director, Ron sure has a lot to to think about.
As of now he has been in the spotlight concerning the casting of his upcoming Netflix movie ‘Hillbilly Elegy‘. The movie is based on the best-selling memoir ‘Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis‘ by J.D. Vance. The film will focus on a modern exploration of the American Dream, and Ron will even be producing the film alongside Brian Grazer and Karen Luder for Imagine Entertainment.
According to Deadline, Howard recently chose Gabriel Basso as the lead role of J.D. Wade for the film. The 24-year-old actor is best known for his roles in the J.J. Abrams sci-fi monster blockbuster Super 8 and the indie film The Kings of Summer.
This will be the film-makers first Netflix film, but we have no doubt in his ability of bringing J.D. Vance’s memoir to life. He has excelled in the TV and film industry since he starred in The Andy Griffin Show in the 60s.
