The Met Gala is by far fashion’s biggest night and this year is no different.  The yearly Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit is an over-the-top black tie event held on the first Monday in May to raise a ton of money for the Costume Institute.

This year’s theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” – whatever the hell that means, we’re sure there will be plenty of entertaining outfits to look at, try to dissect and laugh at.

Buckle up because guests have begun showing up. The first arrival of the night is Lady Gaga and she did not disappoint. The singer walked in wearing a giant red dress. Then slowly began stripping off layers revealing numerous outfits underneath including Madonna’s material girl before ripping off her final outfit and walking the steps in nothing more than a bra and panties with porcupine eyelashes.

We need to be honest with you guys, we don’t know crap about fashion, so don’t expect any deep fashion thoughts from us. We just want to bring you all the bizarre crap from the red carpet.

Serena Williams in leaves… lots of them.

Ashley Graham knows how to get people’s attention. Not sure what her outfit has to do with “Camp” but who cares.

Former One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles just shocked the crowd by rolling in wearing this blouse.

HOLY peacock… thank you for all of the following Celine Dion!

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any crazier. Billy Poter swooped in and destroyed all the competition.

As much fun as it looks, not everyone is a fan of the night. Demi Lovato told Billboard that she “had a terrible experience” during the 2016 Met Gala. She summed up the evening by saying “This one celebrity was a complete bitch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.”

The singer admitted to going to an AA meeting straight from the event and summed up the entire experience as “fake and sucking the fashion industry’s dick.”  We love her.

Zayn Malik apparently wasn’t a huge fan of the event either. He told GQ that his 2016 visit was less than stellar and “It’s not something I’d go to. I’d rather be sitting at my house, doing something productive, than dressing up in really expensive clothes and being photographed on a red carpet.”

They aren’t alone though, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tina Fey, Lena Dunham, and Amy Schumer all hated the event as well.

Don’t let their hatred stop you from enjoying the big night. The Kim Kardashians and Gigi Hadids of the world love the event and take pride in trying to outdo each other.
