The long-anticipated sequel to Suicide Squad filming in Atlanta with Pete Davidson, Viola Davis, and Idris Elba among the star-studded cast.
Pete Davidson joins the cast as Blackguard and was seen earlier in the week getting filming in full costume with Nathan Fillion, Jai Courtney, Sean Gunn, Mayling Ng, and Flula Borg.
The cast was full of smiles as they walked on set revealing some of the DC characters will get to see in the next installment of Suicide Squad including Nathan Fillion as Arms-Fall-Off-Boy, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Sean Gunn as Weasel, Flula Borg as Javelin, Mayling Ng as Mongal and Pete Davidson as Blackguard.
Newcomer Mayling Ng will be making her debut as Mongal and looked ready for action in a purple outfit carrying double swords.
This is the first time Mayling will appear as part of Suicide Squad but she’s no stranger to superhero movies — she starred as Orion alongside Gal Godot in Wonder Woman.
Idris Elba made his first appearance on set as Vigilante wearing an orange prison suit and orange Crocs while walking with a film crew member carrying his laptop.
The actor was pictured talking with wife Sabrina Dhowre and family as he walked to his trailer in between takes.
John Cena joins the cast as Peace Maker wearing a similar orange prison suit and orange Crocs as Elba.
Viola Davis made her appearance as government agent Amanda Waller braving the Atlanta downpour wearing a cream business suit and pearls.
Daniela Melchior who will be playing Rat Catcher used a lint roller on her black trousers as co-star Jennifer Holland wore a green jumpsuit onset.
The DC Comics film has just begun filming and we yet to see Margot Robbie reprise her role as Harley Quinn and what role Thor‘s Taika Waititi will take.
