Hayden Christensen was spotted at a farmers market in Studio City when he was informed of the sad news about Kobe’s passing and to say he was shocked would be an understatement.

The Star Wars star wasn’t keen on talking to a shutterbug when he was approached while grabbing a bite to eat but was shocked when he was informed the basketball legend had died in a helicopter crash.  He took a minute to let the news sink in before adding — ‘that’s really sad’.

It was the same reaction from musician Pete Wentz initially having a hard time believing it but ending the conversation with ‘God, that’s terrible…super sad’.

The helicopter crash was initially reported by TMZ but news on who else was on board was not known until now when news broke that one of the victims was Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria Onore.

RIP Kobe Bryant and Gianna.
