Janet Jackson made her fans happy when she stopped to take selfies with them after dining at Nobu in New York City and announcing the Black Diamond tour.

The singer was wearing an olive puffer jacket, black dress, and Prada lace-up booties ($1,200) accessorizing with large black hoops and a black scarf. 

Jimmy Fallon asked Jackson during an interview on The Tonight Show if her son was musical which she quickly responded: “are you kidding me?” And continued to describe the many ways his musically inclined and says he already has a drum set, violin, and recently acquired a cello.

The 54-year-old mom explained how he acquired a cello on his third day of school after he had a sudden desire to have a cello instead of a violin — “On the third day of school, he says, “Mama, I want to take a cello” which she replied, “Baby, you don’t have a cello.”  He then proceeded to ask his mom to turn his violin into a cello prompting one of Jackson’s assistants to add a straw at the end of his violin to make a makeshift cello.  The pop star eventually ended up giving into Eissa’s desire for the oversized wind instrument and now the toddler has a real one at home.

She just announced a tour and new tracks after finishing her Las Vegas residency at MGM Grand. The new album will be titled Black Diamond and feature new songs as well as old favorites ‘including a special performance of Rhythm Nation 1814 which recently marked its 30th Anniversary’.

She’s showing no signs of slowing her pace embarking in a world tour after her North America tour ends and will headline the 2020 Essence Festival of Culture with Bruno Mars.
